While it is difficult to determine the exact cost of roof consulting, here is a list of variables to consider:
- Project size
- Project location
- Number of Buildings / Sites
Roof Inspections - $180.00 per hour - min. charge 2 hours.
Report Writing - $150.00 per hour.
Expert Witness - $200.00 per hour.
Testimony / Deposition - $250.00 per hour.
Idle Time - $45.00 per hour - waiting or traveling.
Mileage - $1.00 per mile one way.
Expenses - Direct pass through - hotel, printing, etc.
Generally speaking, a large project of $1 million or above will be approximately 2% of project cost in consulting fees. A medium size project around $500,000.00 should require around 5% of the project cost for consulting fees. When travel is required all mileage, hotel, rental cars, meals and associated expenses will be billed to the customer. We will attempt to keep your cost down. Flight availability sometimes is limited, hotel rooms are usually in the moderate price range. Meals usually amount to one a day. Copies of receipts will be provided with the billing. For driving of company cars, the current government approved rate will apply.
